METHOD OF OPERATING HEATING APPARATUS AND HEATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To raise temperature smoothly and quickly by controlling the heater of an automobile to operate under at least two load states thereby facilitating heat dissipation from the heater. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanging medium being used functions as a reference input which is the water temperature in case of a water heater. A temperature sensor 4 measuring water temperatureθhas an output connected with the input of a trigger 3 incorporating an A/D converter. Circuit threshold value is referred through a logical module 2 and a controller 1 controls the heater depending on a recorded response. A resistor 5 is a compensation resistor for the temperature sensor 4. Output end of the controller 1 is connected with an actuator 6 in order to trigger starting at a combustion air fan 7. The heater is started constantly during partial load operation PL and a larger thermal request occurs during heat conduction cycle through introduction of another temperature threshold. When the temperature drops below the switching threshold, switching is made from partial load operation PL to full load operation PL.
