PURPOSE:To control toner concentration properly by detecting the temperature of a device main body at a specific position by a temperature sensor, comparing the output of the temperature sensor with a preset reference value, and varying the stop time of a stop time setting means. CONSTITUTION:The temperature sensor 40 is connected to the stop time varying means 61 and the stop time varying means 61 compares the output of the temperature sensor 40 with the predetermined reference value and varies the stop time set in a stop time setting means 67. For example, when 50 deg.C is set as the reference value, it is considered that a long time is elapsed after the power source of the device main body is turned off if the temperature signal outputted by the temperature sensor 40 is <=50 deg.C, so it is considered that the developer at a development part is compressed to cohere and the time stored in the stop time setting means 67 is varied to 10 seconds so as to perform toner concentration control matching said state. Consequently, even when the device is not used for a long time, the toner control is controlled properly. |
