885,933. Automatic pressure control systems. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Feb. 29, 1960 [March 29, 1959], No. 6981/60. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVII] A control switch 64 in the gas system of a re-circulating gasblast circuit-interrupter (see Group XXXVII), comprises a contact-carrying pivoted lever 65 which is acted on by bellows 73, 74 connected respectively to high- and low-pressure reservoirs 49, 54 and biased by springs 75, 76 within the bellows. When the ratio of the pressure in the low-pressure space to that in the high-pressure space increases due to an opening operation of the interrupter, the control switch closes its contacts 66, 68 to start a motor 70 which drives a compressor 57 to pump gas from the low-pressure reservoir 54 back into the highpressure reservoir 49. Specification 885,932 is referred to. |
