The merry-go-round according to the invention includes two rotors 5 which are independent and have parallel shafts D and D' turning on one and the same balance arm 4 which is itself mounted, at its centre, on a central shaft T perpendicular to the axes of the plates D and D', the central shaft T of the balance arm being mounted pivotably at the end of a lifting arm 2 articulated at its opposite end about a hinge 10. The two rotors 5 as well as the balance arm 4 are, respectively, moved in rotation about shafts D, D' and T so as to compose two simultaneous and perpendicular movements generating a helico-toric movement of the pods (baskets) 6 which are arranged at the periphery of the rotors 5. The merry-go-round is intended for fairground attractions, as a fixed version (amusement park), or may be dismantled, and mounted on trailers (road convoys). <IMAGE>
