PURPOSE:To speedily input correct merchandise information with a simple operation without moving a merchandise by using a pen scanner, reading a bar code, to which the merchandise information is written, and storing the bar code to the memory of a portable terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A merchandise information collecting means 1-1 of a portable terminal equipment 1, which can be carried and used, reads the bar code, to which the merchandise information is written, by using a pen scanner 1-2 for the portable terminal equipment 1 and executes the preparation of a merchandise information file 1-3, for which the merchandise information to execute the registration or change of the merchandise is stored in the memory of the portable terminal equipment 1. Simultaneously, the read merchandise information is outputted to the printer of the portable terminal equipment 1 and proof lists 1-4 are prepared. A merchandise master file generating and updating means 2-8 of a terminal controller 2 reads a generating and updating preparation file 2-7 and executes the generating and updating of a merchandise master file 2-9. Then, a price referring table 2-10 is prepared as a high speed price referring file in the memory. |
