Syringe, especially for medical use, having a barrel (2) which has an opening (7) on its front end (5) and in which a piston (12) is movable. The piston rod (13) of the piston (12) projects from the rear end of the barrel (2), a needle, especially an injection needle or a similar aspirating and/or administering member being attachable or insertable in a fluid-tight manner on or in the opening (7) formed in the front end (5) of the barrel (2). The piston (12) and/or the piston rod (13) is allocated with locking means (19, 20, 22, 23; 41) with which the maximum injection volume can be administered once only.
