PURPOSE:To achieve a quick detection of a range and degree of environmental pollution by a method wherein a laser light is emitted into atmospheric air or water to perform a scanning and an intensity or a phase of the laser light transmitted through the atmospheric air or water is detected to obtain a tomographic image. CONSTITUTION:A pencil beam 16 of a white laser light is emitted to a reflector 12a from a laser 14 and made incident into the reflector 12a through a beam splitter 18a of a deflector 17a to be reflected to a reflector 12b with the reflector 12a. Thereafter, in this manner, the beam 16 reaches a mirror 12n. A splitter 18a expands the beam 16 to a fan beam 22 to be emitted to detector sections 24a-24n. After penetrating an area 10 to be measured, the beam 22 enters into the detector sections 24a-24n. As the beam 22 enters a beam splitter gets incident, it 22 is partially divided with the beam splitter to enter into a photo sensor. With the photo sensor, the beam is converted into an electrical signal and amplified to be stored into a memory. Thus, a tomographic image, the type and density of a pollutant and the like are printed out with a CPU, thereby enabling immediate detection of the condition of pollution. |
