Method of continuously producing boards

The present disclosure is related to a method of producing boards which are made of a highly elastic material such as polystyrene. This method is characterized by that the time, labor and material used in producing the present boards are effectively reduced. The material preferably used in the present method is a mixture of PS material and a foaming agent. The mixed material is first extruded into a continual tubular element which is then inflated to expand it into a predetermined size with pressurized air; the inflated tubular element is subsequently pressed by a number of heating rollers to cause the substance to foam and the foamed upper and lower portions thereof can be meltingly bonded together as a result of heat. The product is further led through a number of cooling rollers to finish its shaping, and the edges of the continuous processed boards are evenly removed and the continuous product is then cut into small-size boards of equal length.
