PURPOSE:To shorten drying time and to obtain a molded body not causing shrinkage or cracking at the time of drying by press-molding slurried calcium phosphate by wet pressing while dehydrating. CONSTITUTION:A slurry of calcium phosphite such as apatite or tricalcium phosphate having 50-95%, preferably 60-87% concn. is charged into a metal mold for wet pressing, dehydrated by suction and press-molded under 10-4,000kg/cm<2>, preferably 30-200kg/cm<2> pressure. The molded body is dried as required and it is sintered at 800-1,500 deg.C, preferably 1,000-1,400 deg.C for 5min-12 hr, preferably 30min-8hr to obtain a calcium phosphate sintered body useful as an artificial bone, an artificial dental root, etc. |
