PURPOSE:To preserve main memory data at the time of first abnormality and to improve system maintenance even when starting is re-executed repeatedly by saving the main storing data at the time of system abnormality generation in an auxiliary memory only with the re-starting of the system. CONSTITUTION:When a computer goes to system-down, in addition to the main memory data at the time of the system down, a time to save the main memory data at the time of re-starting is also to a disk and at the time of the next system down or rising failure, the time is observed. Then, when the abnormality is generated within a limit time, the over writing of the main memory data at such a time to the disk is prohibited and the main memory data are prevented from being destroyed at the time of the first system down. When the abnormality is generated over the limit time, the main memory data at this time of the latest system down or starting failure are over-written to the disk and the time of the latest system down or starting failure is over-written on the former time. Thus, even when the starting is repeated plural times, the data at the time of the first system down can be preserved. |
