PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a circular type diamond chip saw, increase the strength thereof and prevent a mounting piece from being bursted away and hold it if the sticking part thereof is damaged by successively sticking the mounting piece to the peripheral edge of a saw blade and forming an engagement construction part consisting of a projecting part and a recess part in each of adjacent mounting pieces. CONSTITUTION:The upper edges of two panels are connected with each other via successive members and has mounting pieces 2 formed with the distance between these panels the same as or slightly greater than the thickness of a saw blade 1. A diamond chip 3 is stuck to each of the mounting piece 2 and they are successively stuck to the periphery of a disk-like saw blade 1 with ribbet 6. Furthermore engagement construction parts consisting of both a projecting part 4 and a counterpart recess part 5 is formed between adjacent mounting pieces 2. As a result if the sticking area of one mounting piece 2 to the saw blade 1 is damaged, other mounting pieces on both sides retain the piece 2 so that it may be prevented from being bursted away due to the centrifugal force. |
