Appts. for exercising the legs for sports such as skating and skiing has a base plate (10) connected by two struts (12, 13) to a bearing plate (1). Connected by two swinging bearings (34, 35) to the bearing plate are two parallel supports (2,3) with rollers (8,9) on their free ends, preceded by the two foot plates (4,5). By using the leg muscles, the supports are swung alternately sideways, supported by the rollers. Each roller is combined with a free wheel clutch (8,9) permitting the supports to move in opposite directions, movement in one direction being blocked. The base plate has end stops (20,21) for limiting the travel of the supports. The tips of ski sticks can be inserted in two corner recesses (24,25). ADVANTAGE - Suitable muscles are adequately exercised.
