PURPOSE:To obtain a base material impregnated with a resin without the air remaining thereinside by processing an elongated band-like base material by a jet spray treatment, and infiltrating a resin varnish into said base material, so that fibers of said base material are opened and fully impregnated with said resin varnish. CONSTITUTION:After an elongated band-like base material is processed by a jet spray treatment, the bas material is impregnated with a resin varnish. The elongated band-like base material 1 is 0.05-1.0mm thick and about 1-2m wide made of a woven fabric of inorganic fibers such as glass or asbestos, organic synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyamide, polyaramidepolyvinyl alcohol, polyacryl or natural fibers such as cotton, a non-woven fabric, a mat or a paper or a combination of these materials. For the jet spray treatment 2, a gas such as air, nitrogen gas, etc., or a solvent such as methyl alcohol, acetone etc. is sprayed and jetted with 10-10000 atmospheric pressure. A phenol resin, cresol resin or epoxy resin etc. is used singly, or a modification or mixture thereof is used for the resin varnish. Upon necessities, a solvent, e.g., water, methyl alcohol or the like is added in order to adjust the particle size of the resin varnish. Accordingly, the air remaining in the obtained base material impregnated with the resin varnish is remarkably reduced, so that a laminated plate or a printed circuit board having superior moldability and drill processability can be obtained. |
