PURPOSE: To prevent malfunction from being caused by a foreign matter, etc., caught between a device and a cover by providing a means which prevents power that can be switched from being changed over at the time of its on-hook state. CONSTITUTION: A portable radio telephone has a key pad 110 that is covered with a movable part 104. When the part 104 is located at the 1st position where it covers the pad 110, which brings about a state in which a receiver is hung (on-hook), and when the part 104 is located at the 2nd position where where it exposes the pad 110, which brings about a state in which the receiver 106 is taken off (off-hook). At the time of the on-hook state, power which can be changed over by a switch 306 is prevented from switching to on or off against a user's will. Thus the malfunction is prevented from being caused by a foreign matter caught between a device and a cover. |
