PURPOSE:To reduce change in the outputs of a light source and photoelectric converting means with ambient temperature to the lowest degree possible and to improve reliability in original size detection by providing an amplifying means with a means which adjusts the temperature characteristic of an output. CONSTITUTION:The amplifying means of an original size detector 84 is provided with the adjusting means which reverses the temperature characteristic of an amplification degree in the amplifying means and the temperature characteristics of a light source and photoelectric converting means 61 and 62; thereby the temperature characteristic of the amplification degree and the temperature characteristics of the light source and photoelectric converting means 61 and 62 are offset. Since change in output with ambient temperature is minimized, reliability in original size detection is improved. |
