PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber-reinforced composite member where bubbles or foreign matter does not exist, density is high and properties such as strength are excellent, by a method wherein at the time of hot and press molding of fiber cloth impregnated with resin, a part of a mating surface of a press molding tool is decompressed and unnecessary ingredients such as a volatile matter and reactive gas are sucked and removed from fiber cloth. CONSTITUTION:After lamination of fiber cloth 13, which is manufactured of a reinforcing fiber and impregnated with resin, on a fiber cloth mounting surface 4a of a lower press molding tool 4, a side molding tool 7 is fixed to the lower press molding tool 4 and bleader cloth 12 is arranged in a spatial part 11. After an upper press molding tool 6 is arranged on the laminated fiber cloth 13, the molding tools 4, 6, 7 are closed up tightly by sticking at both the end fringes 10a, 10b so that there is no gap. Then hot and press molding of the fiber cloth 13 is performed by pressurizing the upper press molding tool 6 at fixed molding pressure. A gaseous matter generated through a volatile matter or reaction is sucked and discharged through a part of a mating surface 1a of a press molding tool 1 and a fiber-reinforced composite member is molded. |
