PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive body which has good sensitivity as the photosensitive body for a laser printer using long wavelength light as a light source and does not generate image fogging by dispersing vanadyl phthalocyanine having a specific crystal structure into the binder of a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer of the photosensitive body having at least the photosensitive layer on a conductive base body is formed by dispers ing the vanadyl phthalocyanine having the crystal structure which has X-ray diffraction peaks at 7.5, 10.2, 12,5, 13.2, 15.1, 16.2, 17.3, 18.4, 22.4, 24.3, 25.4, and 28.6 Bragg angles (2theta+ or -0.2 deg.) and in which the peak intensity of 7.5 deg. is >=2 times the peak intensity of 28.6 deg. into the binder. The excellent charge holdability, repetitive stability and sensitivity are obtd. in this way. The good sensitivity is exhibited even when the photosensitive body is used as the photo sensitive body for a laser printer, etc., for which long wavelength laser light of 780nm in particular is used. |
