PURPOSE:To enable the miniaturization of a circuit and a certain discharge operation by providing a switching means for opening and closing a discharge passage and a means for operating the switching means according to the self-generating voltage of a fuel battery. CONSTITUTION:An electric current generated by the remaining fuel in a fuel battery 1, or by a so-called self generating voltage flows in a circuit. As the voltage VST set by a variable resistance 11 becomes higher than the voltage VZ of a Zener diode 12, a base B current is sent to a transistor 13, which is then turn on to form a discharge circuit, and the fuel battery 1 is discharged. On the other hand, when the terminal voltage VFC is gradually reduced by a discharge resistance 7 into a value lower than the set voltage value VST, the flow of the current into the Zener diode 12 is stopped. Thus, the transistor 13 is turned off and the discharge operation is stopped. Thereafter, the fuel battery 1 is brought into a natural discharge state. Hence, the circuit can be miniaturized, and a certain discharge operation can be maintained. |
