PURPOSE:To make it possible to stably form a picture having high contrast by incorporating hydrazine derivatives in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and derivatives of 1,5-benzothiaazepine compd. or its acid adduct in a hydrophilic colloid layer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The hydrazine derivatives are incorporated in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and the derivatives of 1,5-benzothiaazepine shown by formula I or its acid adduct are incorporated in the hydrophilic colloid layer. In the formula, R1 is a lower alkyl group, R2 is hydrogen atom or a lower alkanoyl group, R3 is a lower alkyl group, one of the groups R4 and R5 is hydrogen atom, and another of the groups is chlorine atom. Thus, the title photographic sensitive material which is prevented the generation of a fog including a pepper fog, and does not deteriorate the high contrast, is obtd. |
