PURPOSE:To make a small-sized cassette adaptable to a deck of a normal-sized cassette, by locking and fixing the small-sized cassette into an adaptor in response to the action of a tape draw-out control lever. CONSTITUTION:A small-sized cassette 32 having a distance between reels set smaller than that of a normal-size cassette is loaded into an adaptor 21. Then a control lever 27 is operated toward an arrow mark to draw a tape 37 within the adaptor 21. Under such conditions, it is avoided that the cassette 32 gets out of the adaptor 21 by mistake and that the drawn-out tape 37 is damaged. For this purpose, a lock arm 45 is usually energized toward an arrow 49 by a spring 46 and is positioned apart from a lock hole 32a. When the lever 27 is operated toward an arrow 40 to draw out the tape 37, a knob 48 provided to the lever 27 pushes the arm 45 into the hole 32a. As a result, the cassette 32 does not come off upward. This prevents an arroneous detachment of the cassette 32 from the adaptor 21. |
