摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce wear resulted by acute pressure relief by opening a connection of a control chamber restricted by a throttle or the like and a work chamber earlier than a connection of a suction chamber and a connecting portion at the end of a discharge stroke of a pump. CONSTITUTION: An upper edge 9 first shuts off a connecting hole 6 and then a connecting hole 4 during the lift stroke of a pump piston 2. A control chamber 5 is restricted by a wall 10 provided with a throttle 11. Fuel with pressure is first pressed to the control chamber 5 in the direction of an arrowhead 12 at the end of the injection stroke. That time is the time when a control edge 13 contacts the connecting hole 4, which is earlier than the time when a control edge 14 contacts the connecting hole 6. At the end of injection, load relief of pressure is effected in two stages: first it is effected in the pressurized control chamber 5 and then a hole to a suction chamber 7 is opened. Thus, wear is apparently reduced.
