<p>PURPOSE:To vary the luminance of a luminous body with a constitution whose number of parts is small, and also, whose cost is low by providing the light emitting body for emitting a light beam in accordance with the input of a driving signal having a prescribed period and making the period of the driving signal freely variable. CONSTITUTION:An information display device 1 is constituted by containing a microprocessor 2, a current limiting circuit 3, 7-segment display LED elements 4-7 and a selecting circuit 8. In this state, the light emitting bodies 4-7 are brought to time division light emission control by the microprocessor 2, and the light emission allocation time of a driving signal given to each light emitting element is switched arbitrarily by the microprocessor. In such a manner, even in the state of having a single current limiting resistance, many kinds of luminances can be switched, and also, the luminance can be changed without changing a resistance value for limiting a current. Moreover, a circuit for switching the resistance value becomes unnecessary, and by a constitution whose number of parts is small, and also, whose cost is low, the luminance of the light emitting body can be varied.</p> |
