PURPOSE: To stack folded printing products in a short processing time, and to form a good quality stable completed stack by supporting the almost center of the completed stack while being stacked in a prestacking space only on an edge region on the opposite side of a fold line of the printing products forming the uppermost prestack, and carrying out the completed stack without pressing this prestack. CONSTITUTION: A fold line 30 of printing products 32 is transferred to a stopper 20, and while being stacked in a prestacking space 14 only on an edge region 38 on the opposite side of the fold line 30 of the printing products 32 forming at least the uppermost prestack 60" of a completed stack 62, the center of the completed stack 62 is supported. The completed stack 62 is carried out of the prestacking space 14 by a placing mechanism without pressing this uppermost prestack 60".
