PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance by scanning a storage rack by a handling device while discriminating information by an article discriminating means, mounted to the handling device, to be automatically input to a computer and performing the maintenance of an article stored position data, in the case of an article automatic storing system. CONSTITUTION:In the case of maintenance for an article stored position data file 103, a handling robot 3 travels running in a rack for its instructed part. The handling robot 3 mounts an article discriminating function checking an article stored in each rack. The information is fed to an article stored position data maintenance part 102 of a computer 1. And performing comparison with the information of the article stored position data file 103, a difference between both the informations is decided for whether or not the difference is present. In the time of no agreement, inquiring a user for whether or not the mainte nance is performed of the data file 103, the maintenance is performed in accor dance with the instruction. Thus the maintenance of the data file can be facilitat ed. |
