PURPOSE:To provide a lubricating oil containing a solid lubricant and an esterified product of specific polyol, fatty acid and dibasic acid, having excellent lubricity and antiseizing property and applicable to the processing of steel plate, etc., such as rolling, cutting, grinding, pressing and drawing. CONSTITUTION:The objective lubricating oil contains (A) an esterification product derived from (i) a 2-6-hydric polyol selected from (di)ethylene glycol, (di) propylene glycol, butylene glycol, neopentylene glycol, (di)glycerol, trimethylolethane, trimethylolpropane, (di)pentaerythritol and (condensed) sorbitol, (ii) a 6-30C synthetic or natural (un)saturated fatty acid and (iii) a 2-36C (un)saturated dibasic acid selected from thiodiglycolic acid, (di)thiopropionic acid, phthalic acid, cyclohexyldicarboxylic acid, malic acid and tartaric acid and (B) a solid lubricant such as mica. |
