PURPOSE:To perform a printing head with high reliability at a high speed by composing to connect both ends of an electrostrictive element by an elastic member imparted with tension. CONSTITUTION:An elastic supporting member 12 is secured at its base to a base member 5, and a movable member 11 is integrally coupled to the end of the member 12 in a cantilever state. An electrostrictive element 3 is connected at its upper end to the coupling part of both the members through a connecting member 7. An elastic member 13 is linear with coupling parts 14, 15 at both ends to couple both the ends of the element 3 in a state imparted with tension. Since a compression load is applied to the element 3, it is not necessary to initially deform the member 12 as a conventional one, a movable part including the elastic supporting member is reduced in sized thereby to raise its intrinsic vibration frequency. |
