PURPOSE:To measure a data/error rate with a simple constitution by recording write signals and readout signals by one sector quantity in a memory section and, at the same time, successively reading out and comparing corresponding signals at every byte. CONSTITUTION:In the write mode, writing data by one sector quantity are written in a RAM 11 and a control section 4 causes the data written in the RAM 11 to be outputted to a bus. The data are converted into serial data by means of an S/P converting section 2 and written on an optical disk. In the readout mode, on the other hand, the converting section 2 converts readout data into parallel data of one by one byte in accordance with the mode signal of the control section 4 when the readout data are supplied from the optical disk. The readout data are stored in the RAM 11 and, at the same time, latched by a read data register 32. In addition, corresponding write data are latched by a write data register 31 from the RAM 11. The latched data are compared by a comparator 33 and error signals are counted by an error counter 34. |
