PURPOSE: To build an antenna into a wrist watch or pendant by making the antenna possible to catch the component of magnetic field in the tangential direction and the component of electric field in the vertical direction to the cylindrical part of the body carrying a watch. CONSTITUTION: An antenna 7 for catching a magnetic field H and an electric field E transmitting a message by radio is provided on the side of a watch having a glass and a rear cover 32 and a miniature receiver 8 receiving a message captured by the antenna 7 is also provided in addition to elements required for indicating the time. The antenna 7 comprises a coil including a winding oriented to capture the component Hϕ of magnetic field H tangential to the tubular part of body, e.g. arm or abdomen. Furthermore, axis of the winding is set in parallel with the rear cover 32. According to the arrangement, an inductive antenna and a capacitive antenna can be built in a watch. |
