The no-break power supply device for data processing systems is connected for continuous operation between the mains connection and the inputs of the power supply of the data processing system, and has a rectifier, an accumulator and control devices. Spatially, the power supply device is integrated in the data processing system or arranged outside it. The output of the rectifier is directly connected to d.c.-d.c. converters with different output voltages, and the outputs of the d.c.-d.c. converters are directly connected to the inputs of the power supply of the data processing system (e.g. CPU at 5V, floppy disk drive at 12V). If there is a mains failure, work in progress is first brought to a definite end. After the failure ends, the accumulator is fully charged, and operation of the computer then continues (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
