PURPOSE:To obtain the transfer sheet which can be printed multiple times and does not indicate any rapid deterioration of printing density in proportion to printing frequency by forming a porous layer consisting of a water-in-oil type emulsion of polyurethane on one surface of a base film and allowing the porous layer to be impregnated with heat-melting ink and hold said ink. CONSTITUTION:A porous layer consisting of a water-in-oil type emulsion of urethane resin is formed on one surface of a base film, and the porous layer is impregnated with heat-melting ink and holds said ink. The porous layer is formed with a water-in-oil type emulsion of polyurethane resin. This emulsion is prepared by dissolving or dispersing the polyurethane resin in an organic solvent with a limited mutual solubility with water at a comparatively low boiling point and emulsifying a proper amount of water with this solution or dispersion liquid. The emulsion is applied, in an appropriate coat thickness, on the surface of any appropriate base, and this coated layer is dried at any appropriate temperature to, first, evaporate the organic solvent and gelate the polyurethane resin. After this, the moisture is vaporized to obtain the desired porous layer formed. |
