PURPOSE:To improve scratching resistance without deteriorating signal quality by coating the entire surface of the optical recording medium with an SiO2 film formed by a precipitation method. CONSTITUTION:A grooved polycarbonate PC substrate 1, a protective AlSiN film 2, a magneto-optical NdDyTbFeCo recording film 3, a protective AlSiN film 4, a groovless PC substrate 5, and a protective AlSiN film 6 are adhered by a UV adhesive resin. The entire surface of the finished magneto-optical recording medium is coated with the SiO2 film formed by the deposition method and thereafter, a hub 9 is adhered thereto by ultrasonic waves. The scratching resistance is improved in this way without deteriorating the signal quality of the optical recording medium. |
