PURPOSE:To obtain the color photographic sensitive material having excellent sharpness by using compds. which improve sharpness by an edge effect and yellow couplers for image formation which have the high yellow color forming density per weight, are advantageous for formation of emulsion layers to thinner layers and are suppressed with the out-of-focus of the formed dye image into the above material. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material contains at least one kind of the compds. expressed by the formula I and at least one kind of the lipophilic 2-equiv. yellow couplers of 450-720 equiv. mol. wt. expressed by the formula II. In the formula I, A denotes a group which cleaves L1-L2-DI by reacting with the oxidant of a developing agent; L1 denotes a group which cleaves L2-DI after cloven from A; L2 denotes the group with cleaves DI after cloven from L1; DI denotes a development restrainer or the precursor thereof. In the formula II, R1 denotes a tertiary alkyl group or arom. group; Ar denotes an arom. group, X denotes a group which can be eliminated by reacting with the oxidant of the developing agent. The case in which R1, Ar or X acts as a bivalent combination group to form the dimer of the yellow couplers expressed by the formula II and in which the dimer is not formed are included. The sharpness is improved in this way. |
