Suitable phosphorylation reagents, in particular for the phosphorylation of the 5'-hydroxy end of oligo- and polynucleotides, are compounds of the general formula I <IMAGE> where P represents a phosphate or phosphite group which is reactive with an OH group and R represents a removable OH protective group, X is H, OH, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy or represents an O, N, alkylene or oxyalkyleneoxy bridge to B, B1 or B3, one of the substituents B to B3 represents a hydrophobic anchoring group or a hapten binding to an antibody and the other substituents B to B3 denote H or lower alkyl, B2 also denoting a single bond.
