The ribbon cable connector includes a body with a flat hollow region which is intended to receive the end of a multiconductor ribbon cable. A number of parallel channels in a common plane lie at right angles to the ribbon region for contacts extending to a front surface. A contact element lies in each channel, forming a socket on the front surface, and a forked cable contact at the rear. The contacts are arranged so that each is slightly larger than the adjacent contact, with the ends of the contacts lying on a line at 45 degrees to the ribbon cable. A cover clips on to the connector body. |
