PURPOSE:Self-twisting is effected by intermittent nipping with the intermittent nipping rollers and by false twisting with a pair of belts to produce fine-denier core-sheath yarn containing one wadding yarn. CONSTITUTION:Two untwisted short fiber bundles Y1, Y2 are fed to between a pair of intermittent nipping rollers d1, d2, meanwhile a continuous yarn Y3 is sent into groove e on the roller d1, then into the false twister f where a pair of endless belts f1, f2 come into cross contact with each other. Both short fiber bundles Y1, Y2 and the continuous yarn Y3 are combined by the yarn guide g to wrap the continuous yarn as a wadding yarn with both short fiber bundles Y1, Y2 and effect self-twisting in S and Z alternate directions, thus producing a core- sheath yarn Y. |
