PURPOSE:To minimize the power consumption of a light emitting section in a transmission section as required by outgoing a data request signal from a reception section at all times and allowing the transmission section to originate a data signal only when the transmission section enters a transmission enable range and is able to receive the data request signal. CONSTITUTION:In the case of applying data transmission by light between the transmission section 10 mounted on a movable member R and the reception section 20 installed stationarily, while the reception section 20 originates a data request signal to the transmission section 10 for a short period, the transmission section 10 originates a data signal to the reception section 20 in response to the reception of the data request signal. Thus, only when the transmission section 10 resides in the transmission enable range and the data signal reaches effectively the reception section 20, the transmission section 10 can originate the data signal, then the power consumption of the transmission section 10 is minimized. |
