<p>PURPOSE: To execute the storage of data from plural sources to plural destinations by extremely high through-put by using both a controller for simultaneously performing access to a memory in parallel and a processing system for connecting packets directed toward one common output of a connected second switched network. CONSTITUTION: At least one data link controller 19 and plural memory controllers 18 are mutually connected through a synchronizing operating data link. The data link controller 19 obtains an input from an input data link, transmits those inputs to the data link, obtains an output from a data ring, and distributes them to an output data link. The memory controller 18 distributes the data from the ring to a memory, and distributes the data from the memory to the data ring. Each controller on the ring automatically recognizes the data directed toward the controller, and at least one time slot for this purpose is assigned to each controller so that when the data should be transmitted to the ring can be recognized.</p> |
