PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high photosensitivity and high charge holding rate by constituting a photoconductive layer of the sensitive body of a-SiC contg. >=40 atomic % H and halogen in the film. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by laminating successively an intermediate layer 2 for inhibiting injection of electric charge from an electroconductive base body 1 side consisting of Al, etc., a photoconductive layer 3 consisting of a-SiC contg. N, and a surface protective layer 4 which protects the surface and improves the chargeability and the charge holding rate, on the base body 1. In this case, the photoconductive layer of the photosensitive body is constituted of a-SiC contg. >=40 atomic % H and halogen in the film, and the photoconductive layer is produced by the electron cyclotron resonance process. Thus, an electrophotographic sensitive body being producible with a high film-forming velocity, having high photosensitivity, and high charge holding rate, is obtd. inexpensively. |
