PURPOSE:To obtain an immersion lance which has a large stirring effect, a long life and high reliability by fitting the top end of a hook-shaped pipe part at the end of a straight pipe-shaped body of a blowing pipe enclosed by a cooling protective pipe into the injection port of a tuyere refractory brick and coating the entire part with monolithic refractories. CONSTITUTION:One end of the blowing pipe 41 of the immersion lance 57a which is immersed in a molten metal and is used to blow a stirring gas, etc. into the molten metal is fitted and fixed into the central aperture 42a of a flange member 42 attached to the base part. The pipe 41 consists of the straight pipe-shaped body 41a and the hook-shaped pipe part 41b having a curved part 42 and is closed with the cooling protective pipe 52 consisting of double pipes. The top end of the pipe part 41b is formed to a small-diameter part 44 to be fitted into the injection port 46 of the tuyere refractory brick 45, which ports faces the molten metal surface direction. The brick 45 is detained to the pipe part 41b or the pipe 52 by detaining means 47a, 47b, etc. via reinforcing ribs 48a-48d, etc. The part lower than the member 42 is coated with the monolithic refractories 49, etc. |
