PURPOSE:To allow a liquid material to be transferred to only the specified section of a plate by arranging a vertically movable offset roll between feeder rolls located below a coating roll and causing the feeder rolls to ascend in synchronization with the feed of the plate. CONSTITUTION:A doctor roll 5 which is separable horizontally and an offset roll 3 which is located below and separable vertically in synchronization with a coating roll 4 are installed against the coating roll 4 which rotates in a fixed direction. In addition, a feeder roll 2 is arranged, below offset roll 3, which is separable vertically while rotating in a reversed direction to the feeder roll 4. If a plate 1 advances to a specified position, the feeder roll 2 is caused to ascend rapidly with a signal from a detection device 7, and the plate 1 is sent out while being sandwiched between the offset roll 3 and the feeder roll 2. The liquid material of the feeder roll 4 is applied only on a specified section through the offset roll 3 by setting the time for causing the feeder roll 2 to ascend to a fixed position for the plate 1. |
