Spectacles

The invention relates to spectacles, two transparent optical elements being present in a spectacle frame and which are assigned to the two eyes. According to the invention, commercially available spectacles can be designed in such a manner that, when wearing the spectacles, it is possible in addition to looking forward, also to look backwards without the need for turning the head. This is achieved in that on the inside of the optical elements rear mirrors are arranged which are either placed on the inside or set in the plane of the optical elements. After a short familiarisation time, the spectacles can be worn and used by everybody, can be produced easily and in a cost-advantageous manner and are suitable in particular for all persons for whom it is of great importance to watch at any time what is happening behind them.
