PURPOSE:To assure safe rotation and to prevent surface damaging at the time of insertion and discharge of the optical card to and from a device by forming the optical card, on which information is recorded to a concentrical or spiral shape, into a square outside shape. CONSTITUTION:The optical card 1 on which the information is recorded in a circular region 2 to the concentrical or spiral shape is formed to the square outside shape. As a result, the shape of a turntable is smaller than in case of the conventional rectangular shape and the starting power can be decreased. A roller pair for loading is positioned on the diameter of the disk and the front or rear surface is damaged by dust, etc., at the time of attachment or detachment in case of the conventional circular shape. The attachment and detachment without damaging the card are possible by using the mechanism for loading and discharging for the rectangular card in case of the square shape. In addition, the miniaturization of the device is possible and therefore, this card is advantageous. |
