PURPOSE:To improve total period resolution by varying the period of only a k-th part among (m) divisions of one repetitive waveform period and adjusting a mean period finely. CONSTITUTION:Waveform data is stored in a waveform ROM 105, which is accessed at a constant frequency fA according to the output of a program counter 101, but the output data of a scale ROM 104 is varied at k-th timing in access to the waveform of one cycle to vary a frequency division ratio instantaneously. Consequently, pulses of fA differ in period instantaneously. The waveform ROM 105 is accessed with the pulses and the read data is passed through a D/A converter 106, so that a person recognizes pulses of different frequency. Consequently, a sound generator is obtained which can use not a high frequency oscillator, but a low frequency oscillator so as to obtain a vibrate frequency requiring high resolution. |
