This wrench is of the type including means for displaying the tightening torque, comprising a slide 12 which can move in the body of the wrench and interacting with an external graduated scale 17, means 22 indicating the approach of the displayed torque and means 24 signalling that this torque has been reached. According to the invention, the slide 12 is mounted so as to slide in internal longitudinal grooves 13 of the tubular body 2, and carries, on the one hand, two transverse contact screws 18-19, forming projections whose heights are different but which are adjustable, these being electrically connected, one to a pre-alarm diode 22 and the other to an alarm diode 24 and, on the other hand, an elastic contact blade 28, made of electrically conducting material, extending longitudinally above the two contact screws 18-19, while the operating handle 8 forms a housing for the automonous electrical power means 10 electrically connected to the two diodes 22-24 and the other terminal of which is electrically connected to the flexure rod 6 made from electrically conducting material. <IMAGE>
