PURPOSE:To impart the flowability adequate for the toner to the toner by specifying the average grain size consisting of a vinyl resin obtd. by emulsion polymn. of alpha,beta-ethylenic unsatd. monomers using a cationic surfactant having an onium salt structure and a polymn. initiator having an amidine structure or amidine salt structure. CONSTITUTION:The fine resin particles which consist of the vinyl resin obtd. by the emulsion polymn. of the alpha,beta-ethylenic unsatd. monomers using the cationic surfactant having the onium salt structure as an emulsifier and the compd. having the amidine salt structure as the polymn. initiator and has 0.01-1mum average grain size are synthesized. An alkyltrimethyl amine salt, alkylbenzyltrimethyl amine salt, etc., are used as the cationic surfactant having the onium salt structure to be used; 2,2'-Azobis(2-methyl-N-phenylpropionamidine) etc., are used as the polymn. initiator having the amidine structure or the amidine salt structure; and styrene, acrylic acid, etc., are used as the alpha,beta-ethylenic unsatd. monomers. The adequate flowability is obtd. in this way. |
