The invention concerns a three-dimensional puzzle comprising a number of elements (60-70), each of which can be split into two pieces (68, 69). When assembled, the elements of the puzzle form a tetrahedron. In a preferred embodiment, the surfaces of the elements which lie on the outside of the tetrahedron when assembled each have part of a holographic puzzle. Thus when the pieces and elements of the three-dimensional puzzle are assembled correctly, the holographic puzzle is also automatically assembled correctly. In another preffered embodiment, the elements of the puzzle are hollow, so that several puzzles according to the invention can be fitted one inside the other.
