PURPOSE:To obtain the subject spun yarn having both silky gloss and crispy feeling by feeding a fiber bundle of specific wool fibers to two air jetting nozzles for producing swirling air streams in the mutual opposite directions of rotation and spinning the fiber bundle. CONSTITUTION:The maximum fiber length of wool fibers constituting a roving 2 is 150-240mm with >=55mm average fiber length and >=50 number of constituent fibers in the yarn cross section. Scales on the fiber surface in at least part of the wool fibers are partially removed to provide silky gloss. The resultant fiber bundle is then fed to an air false twisting type sinning apparatus and spun. Swirling air stream directions in nozzles 7 and 9 are mutually opposite. |
