PURPOSE:To detect boiling with accuracy irrespective of a material or the amount of water of a cooking utensil, and even when boiling is to be carried out consecutive two times or more by having an inverter control means output an instruction signal of such that means stop or warming through the input of a first and a second comparison signals. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor 22 being arranged touching a cooking utensil 14, temperature of the cooking utensil 14 is directly detected by a temperature detection means 25, and the abrupt decrease in a raising rate of detection temperature is detected through the temperature detection means 25 by means of comparison between the present difference in temperature and the preceding difference in temperature detected a predetermined period of time before the present by a second comparison apparatus 34. Boiling of the water is thus detected accurately irrespective of a material or the amount of water of the cooking utensil 14. When boiling of the water is to be carried out twice consecutively, the condition is defined by a first comparison apparatus 26 such that the detection temperature is not less than the reference temperature, and the boiling is detected based on the rate of change in detection temperature in the circumstance where the above-mentioned condition is satisfied. In this way, boiling of the water can be detected accurately. |
