PURPOSE:To surely perform the exhausting and the filling of sodium by coupling or screwing a negative electrode pipe and a negative terminal and forming a communicating path communicated to a solid electrolyte tube between them. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode pipe 6 and a negative electrode terminal 5 are coupled or screwed, a communicating path 8 communicated to a solid electrolyte tube 1 is formed between them, an exhausting and sodium filling jig 9 is arranged at the upper end of the negative electrode terminal 5, a sodium tank 11 is hermetically connected to the jig 9. This structure is heated in a heating furnace, a vacuum pump is hermetically connected to the jig 9, the solid electrolyte tube 1 is exhausted via the communicating path 8. When the inner pressure becomes a fixed value, a boring jig 13 is operated to bore holes on the upper cover 11-1 and the bottom cover 11-2 of a sodium tank 11, fused sodium is filled in the solid electrolyte tube 1 via the negative electrode pipe 6. The exhausting and the filling of sodium can be surely performed. |
