PURPOSE:To simplify and ensure the operation of a parking brake by installing a bracket on the expansion/contraction rod of a motor-driven cylinder, giving braking force by means of a spring one end of which is joined to the bracket, and providing a second spring for giving braking force accompanying a mechanical operation. CONSTITUTION:As an operating switch A is tuned on to a braking side, the rod 1a of a motor-driven cylinder 1 is expanded by means of a controller 18 to pull springs 2 via a bracket 7. As a result, braking force is given to drum brake shoes 17 via an equalizer 3 and wires 5. Also, when either of a starting switch B or a seat switch C is turned off with the operating switch A kept off, the rod 1a is expanded equally to above. Further, as a pin 14 is lowered by pulling a lever 16, a sliding bracket 9 is separated from a base bracket 8 and, together with the motor-driven cylinder 1, slided rightward by means of a second spring 12. As a result, braking force can be given by the second spring 12. |
